FAQ

1) Will format-specific guidelines be provided?
Yes. Guidelines on the length and technical criteria for each format (e.g., research on teaching presentation, lightning talk) will be sent to presenters with their notification of acceptance.

2) Will there be a facilitator during the session to assist registrants and/or answer technical questions?
You and/or your co-presenters are expected to moderate your session. A TLS Host will be assigned to each session to introduce you, assist with issues that may arise, and ensure the session doesn’t run overtime.

3) Will I have the opportunity to test-drive my presentation before TLS?
We highly recommend that you run through your presentation using the online software before the Symposium. Your TLS Session Host can help you with this process.

4) Who do I contact if I have any technical questions regarding my presentation ?
A contact list will be sent to presenters with their notification of acceptance. In the meantime, questions can be directed to tls@utoronto.ca.

5) Will my TLS session be recorded?
TLS Sessions are not recorded or posted following the event. Should the presenter(s) wish to maintain a recording of the session for their personal files, they may connect with conference organizers to arrange.

If you have any questions about the Teaching and Learning Symposium, please contact tls@utoronto.ca.
